A: The Shower Sensor bluetooth version, requires that you gather your shower data via Aguardio Connected Solutions app. Please download it from www.aguardio.com. 

Q: Do I need to install an app to use Aguardio Shower Sensor?  

A: No, you can use the shower timer, but to save the data you need an app.  

A: Button cell battery CR2450. The battery can be replaced by unscrewing the 4 screws on the back of the sensor.

A: Wring a cloth and gently wipe the Aguardio Shower Sensor, preferably after each shower or when necessary, using all-purpose cleaner and water (sparingly). Limescale build-up on the front of the white plastic frame can interfere with the sensor’s ability to detect showers. 

Q: I clicked the Aguardio onto the bracket and turned on the shower, but the timer didn’t start counting?

A: After the installation, please allow the Aguardio Shower Sensor 20 minutes to start up and connect. Then try turning on the shower again.

Q: The timer doesn’t start when the water runs. What should I do?

If you experience issues with the timer, you can try to reboot the device by removing the sensor from the bracket - wait 5 minutes, then click it back in place. See more info on rebooting, under the question Q: How do I reboot the device? 

Q: Why is the display of the Aguardio Shower Sensor flashing?

A: By design, the device display will flash when it is receiving a software update or when it is being installed.

A: Reboot the device if you want to force a manual software update or if you experience issues with the timer.

This deletes shower data recorded since the last data was collected.

We recommend to only do this in case of faults with the device.

Remove Aguardio Shower Sensor from its bracket. The display will flash repeatedly and then show the Aguardio logo again. Wait around until the display has stopped flashing. Then click the sensor back onto the bracket. The device will reboot.

Q: The clock is stuck on screen for days, what to do?

A: Removing and repositioning the battery inside the device can usually fix the problem. The battery compartment is accessed by unscrewing the 4 screws on the back of the sensor, and then removing the back plate.

Q: Why does the Aguardio Shower Sensor start counting when I am turning on the tap?

A: In small bathrooms, the Aguardio Shower Sensor may start counting when the tap by the sink is turned on, or when flushing the toilet. By design, Aguardio Shower Sensor identifies these water soundwaves when they are very close. Aguardio is continually developing it’s products, please let us know if you are experiencing this.
